reinvestment strategies, slot operations and financial

FREE PLAY strategy to optimize income.

This intensive two day course will address:

  • Effects on the gamers experience.
  • Criteria utilized to determine reinvestment levels.
  • What metrics are critical to understanding the effectiveness?
  • The effect on other promotional “comping” at the property.
  • How does the marketing team project future utilization?

Slot’s Viewpoint on FREE PLAY
  • Does it differ between Class II and Class III gaming devices; if so how?
  • Does the slot machine report it? If so, what meters are impacted?
  • Does it affect WIN? If so, how and what is the impact on gaming taxes?
  • Who is involved in determining the amount offered; Marketing? Slots? Finance?
  • How does the frequency affect slot analysis; Volume? Win? Hold Percentage?
  • What should slot analysis evaluate; are custom reports required?

Finance’s Viewpoint on FREE PLAY
  • Can multiple offers potentially inflate a customer Theo. value?
  • What is the impact of FREE PLAY on non-gaming entities?
  • Is FREE PLAY worth continuing?
  • How and where is it expensed in the financial statements; Marketing Department vs. Slot Department?
  • Can it be adjusted on the customer’s account; what is the impact of the adjustment?
  • How does unredeemed FREE PLAY impact the point-liability calculation?
  • How does the property assess the “cause and effect” of FREE PLAY on the overall profitability of the property?
