Sue Johnson
Director of Course & Curriculum Development
With over twenty years of progressive executive management experience in the Gaming Industry, Sue has held a range of positions including Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for a national gaming organization with multiple properties.

As a founding instructor for the Gaming Management Program at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Sue was instrumental in identifying the critical education needs of key management teams at the property level and developing the extensive financial educational tools required to address those needs. This entailed an initial and advanced finance course covering complex subject matter such as strategic planning, strategic feasibility studies and market analysis. In addition, Sue's extensive knowledge of the industry was leveraged to develop numerous programs within operation based programs such as slots, surveillance, marketing and promotions.

With her extensive expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, market analysis, financial and capital budgeting, Sue has been on the faculty of the University of Nevada, Reno College of Business, the International Gaming Executive Management Program and served as a resource for professors throughout the United States and Canada.


Siobhan Fajayan

Sara Hart, Ph.D.

Dr. Sara Hart is the Director of Research for InfoSearch International, a full-service market research company headquartered in Reno, Nevada.  For the last five years, Sara’s focus at InfoSearch has been gaming industry research and study. She has a Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University and has over twenty years experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research. In addition to enjoying statistical analysis, Sara has written hundreds of research reports for businesses and moderated dozens of focus groups. She has taught research methods courses at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and the University of Nevada, Reno.

Richard J. Lindsay

Spanning a career of 30 years of gaming operations and enforcement, Rick Lindsay provides a solid background of due diligence efforts to maintain the integrity of the gaming industry. Rick has lectured across the country on various gaming topics, especially on scams and cheating operations that exploit the vulnerabilities of the industry. Rick brings a unique perspective concerning all facets of the Casino Industry.

Acquiring a wealth of experience from dealing with a myriad of complex and significant casino scams, Rick is skilled at collaborating with stakeholders to balance the sensitive relationship between enforcement efforts in the Gaming Industry and the casino regulatory process. Further, he continues teaching, training, developing needs assessments, leadership development, strategic planning, and influencing organizational culture and development.

David C. Line is President and CEO of InfoSearch International, a full-service market research company headquartered in Reno, Nevada. Since its inception in 1996, InfoSearch has focused its resources on helping gaming clients better understand their customers and markets. Prior to InfoSearch, David held numerous management positions at IBM and has over 30 years experience in management, marketing, research and strategic planning. Currently, David is on the Board of Directors of Renown Health System and is a member of Marketing Research Association. David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and has received advanced management training from Harvard School of Business and Babson College.

Mary Loftness

Mary Loftness is a 20-year veteran marketing strategist with extensive experience in the hospitality, travel, gaming, entertainment, non-profit and technology industries. Having spent her career driving the measurability of marketing and the need to define and track acceptable returns on investment, she understands the need to quickly assess marketing issues and propose solutions which yield both immediate and impressive results. She learned the importance of effective project management; total quality management; value based pricing and yield management working with Radisson and Westin hotels. By the time she had moved to become the Vice President of Relationship Marketing at Station Casinos, she knew how to combine direct marketing, an effective call center and the web into a powerful marketing engine to drive both new and repeat customer behavior. She drove the project planning and launch one of the first, and to this day, most successful multi-property loyalty programs in the industry. Lured by the opportunity to move to Colorado, she joined Gorp.com to create and manage the operations and call center for a 100,000+ page adventure travel website. In its first year, the center earned the Travelworld Silver Medal for exemplary customer service.

Mary graduated from Southwest State University of Minnesota with a concentration in Hotel and Restaurant Management. She is an active participant in a number of gaming associations including the Gaming Organization for Leadership Diversity, National Indian Gaming Association, the Direct Marketing Association, and the Institute for Management Consultants. Mary's articles on Customer Relationship Management are published in Casino Enterprise Management, Hospitality Upgrade and The Rooms Chronicle.

Mark Lowers heads Lowers & Associates, an international company specializing in risk management and mitigation. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Lowers, a Certified Fraud Examiner, is an authority on risk management. He is widely cited on risk management and security issues, and has published numerous articles on these topics. Mr. Lowers is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the American Society for Industrial Security, and the Risk and Insurance Management Society.

Mark has assisted the casino and gaming industry, cash in transit and financial services industry in the U.S. and internationally for more than 20 years working on behalf of owners and their insurers to provide total risk mitigation coverage that delivers measurable results.

Ken Moberly

Previously, Ken was the Director of Professional Services at International Game Technology (I.G.T.) and the General Manager and Vice-President of Slot Operations for the Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, as well as the Corporate Slot Director for five Nevada gaming properties owned by Peppermill, Incorporated. Additionally, Ken served as a Vice-President for Mills-Jennings Slot Manufacturing. Ken has been a pioneer in the development and delivery of "Slots" related courses for the gaming industry for the past 19 years. He earned his Bachelors' degree in Business from University of Nevada, Reno.

Matt Wetzell is the Director of Slot Operations at Casino Fandango in Carson City, Nevada. Matt has held various positions throughout his career in the gaming industry, both on the operations side as well as in manufacturing. His experience incudes; Slot Performance Manager, Corporate Vice President of Slot Operations, Regional General Manager and Senior Financial Analyst. He holds a B.S. from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno's Executive Development Program.

Roy Corby

Roy Corby has over 21 years experience in the Gaming and Travel and Leisure industries. He is currently the COO for Sol Casinos, a Pascua Yaqui tribal enterprise where he has been for the past 5 years. Prior to joining Sol Casinos, Roy worked in commercial, Native American gaming, and major and emerging markets such as Detroit, New Orleans, Connecticut and Atlantic City in various operational capacities.

Roy has been an instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno as part of the Gaming Management program. He has also become a sought after Consultant for Wall Street with Gerson Lehman Group. Roy attended Arizona Western College where he majored in Business. He completed the Executive Development Program at UNR as well as receiving a Certificate in Gaming Management. He attended The Wharton School where he completed the Wharton Program for Gaming Executives.
